So often, we are our own worst enemy! The thoughts that run through our minds manifest into how we view ourselves, our confidence level, and how we feel about ourselves on the overall. When we have negative thoughts, "I don't look good", "I'm not pretty enough", "I'm fat", etc., we live that feeling day in and day out.
It is so very important that we are our biggest cheerleaders, that we make ourselves feel great everyday, and that we think good thoughts when it comes to how we feel about ourselves. It’s time we stop criticizing ourselves and start loving the perfectly imperfect beings that we truly are!
Self-esteem and confidence are two things that help us walk through this life being strong mentally and emotionally. Without them, we are so susceptible to hurt and pain which leads to negative feelings about ourselves and how we look.
In an effort to break the cycle of negative thinking, try to start each week with a positive thought. Look in the mirror and find something that you love about yourself, write it down on a piece of paper and tell yourself that positive thought everyday for a week. Start the following week off with a new positive thought about yourself. Live it, own it, and embrace it! Reversing the cycle of negativity about yourself starts with you. Let's do it!
