I Couldn't Care Less About What You Think Of Me!

More often than not, this is the mindset that we need in life - "I couldn't care less about what you think of me!". As body shaming is becoming more and more prevelant with the internet making it that much easier to insult and put down other people, we have to go through life with a very strong self-esteem and confidence aka thick skin. There are so many platforms that can be used to hurt people and some folks are taking advantage of that!big time!

While it's easy to say that people should just stop being cruel, truth is, that's not going to happen. Instead, we have to learn to take negativity very lightly.

Last week, Tayja Jones of Pennsylvania, was the receiver of very nasty and distasteful comments online after she posted her prom pictures to her private social media accounts.  She quickly regretted putting her pictures up.

Tayja stated "it was just really hurtful because I was so confident the day before, and it just changed my view of myself,” she said.

How can people be so mean? That old saying still holds true, "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all!". Since when did it become okay to outright insult anyone?

With the help of many supporters,  an online campaign to reverse the negativity went underway and many people came together to support Tayja.

Tayja had words of encouragement for others dealing with cyberbullying, “You’re not the only person. You should know who you are inside, and the outside shouldn’t affect the inner you. Just stay strong,” she said.

Celebrities also go through body shaming and the pressure of being thin and have to endure negative comments publicly as well. Singer Adele and actress Gabourey Sidibe are just a few that come to mind that have both been ridiculed in the media because of their size.

So many of you go through body shaming every day and we are here to tell you that you are beautiful no matter what others have to say and you must truly believe and live that!  Beauty is not about your size and don't let anyone make you feel any different! The beauty of beauty is that it comes in all shapes and sizes, skin colors, etc. Believe that!
