Unlock the potential in every young girl we mentor. We accomplish this by building their confidence and self-esteem and helping them to develop a positive perception of themselves so they can improve in their interpersonal relationships, excel in their academics, and make the best life decisions.
We R Listening, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that mentors young women ages 13 to 22. The mentoring program consists of our community mentoring outreach program in schools, shelters, and at risk facilities and our e-mentoring program where we mentor young women virtually.
We R Listening’s mentors focus on personal development by incorporating a fun, interactive, and well-rounded curriculum of workshops into the mentoring sessions while also providing friendship, love, support and advice with personal experiences and challenges on topics such as school challenges, career guidance, relationship advice, financial matters, family issues, education, and current events, just to name a few.
The mentoring curriculum consists of the following workshops: self-esteem building, career development, leadership skills, financial health, and social media safety and reputation.
Throughout the year, We R Listening provides school supplies to low income schools, delivers toiletries to homeless shelters that house young women and their children, hosts various awareness events that target important causes that affect the youth, and more.
